Karen Grant
TrusteeI have been involved in fencing for 26 years and have previously been on the board and the executive committee of Scottish Fencing. I was a competitive fencer who represented Scotland many times and reached Commonwealth level, captaining the ladies epee team in Canada and Kuala Lumpur. I took a break to have a family and have now started to compete at Veterans level. I won the age group gold medal in the Commonwealth Veterans in 2014 and have qualified for the Veterans World Championships multiple times. I am currently the Veterans ladies epee captain for Scotland. I am a Physiotherapist and a fencing mum, too.

Gavin Mann
TrusteeI have a long association with WFFC since I was a young teenager and have seen the success of the club throughout that time,

Louisa Dawson
Trustee (Treasurer)I started fencing at school, aged 11, and fencing was a big part of my life through school and university. After taking a long break from fencing, I took it up again when my eldest son started fencing at school. We moved back to Scotland and I joined WFFC in 2020, shortly before the Covid lockdowns. The WFFC online fencing footwork sessions helped keep me active through the pandemic. I started competing again in 2022, when my son was also competing, as fencing was more fun than sitting in a sports hall! Since then, I was introduced to the Veterans fencing circuit, fenced on the Scottish Veterans ladies foil team, and qualified for the Veterans World Championships in 2025 in Bahrain. I became a Trustee of WFFC in 2025, taking on the role of treasurer.
